CNC Operator
Quick Apply Full-time 18 hours ago Full Job Description TOPS has partnered with a local manufacturing company to find 2 CNC OPERATORS to add to its growing machine shop.
These are operator level roles, we are seeking individuals with at least 1 year of experience doing CNC operation of a mill or lathe.
Will also consider candidates coming out of a technical school with related degree.
GREAT OPPORTUNITY TO GAIN VALUABLE CNC SKILL! GREAT OPPORTUNITY TO JOIN A GREAT COMPANY! In this position your primary duties will be operation of a pre-programmed and set up CNC lathe or Mill.
As an operator you will be loading metal blanks into he CNC machine, watching the machine run its program, unloading CNC machine and then doing dimensional quality checks on machined pieces.
Good opportunity to gain some experience and level up your CNC skills as there is plenty of room for advancement as your skills and experience would progress Job Details:
Contract to hire position Pay rate; $20 to $23/hr.
based on experience and ability All candidates will train on daylight shift for anywhere from 4 to 6 months.
After this training period you will begin a 2 week rotating schedule between daylight and an early starting afternoon shift hours for each are listed below.
Daylight shift 6am to 3:
30pm Afternoon shift 9am to 6:
30pm 10% shift differential paid for any hours worked after 3:
30pm Duties/
Responsibilities:
Operate CNC Mills or Lathes Load CNC machine Start CNC machine and monitor machine as it runs program.
Unload finished part from CNC machine.
Quality check parts (dimensional) as your remove from CNC machine Maintaining quality and safety standards Small amount of documentation required.
Assist with basic preventative maintenance of machine.
Education and
Experience:
High school diploma or GED equivalent or AS degree in related field 1 year of CNC machine operation experience preferred Physical Requirements Ability to stand for majority of your shift Lifting of parts in and out of CNC machine - Frequently Ability to work 2 week rotating schedule once trained.
